Cleaning a trauma or crime scene can be unnerving, but that's why you have the professionals here at SERVPRO® of Pike, Floyd, and Knott Counties! We have invested in the proper training, products, and equipment needed to make your situation look "Like it never even happened."

Just like our mold cleanup/remediation jobs, our trained professionals are required to be in full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure their health and safety on-site. Our technicians go in quickly and get the job done correctly, but do you ever think about where the leftover debris goes after that? You're about to find out!

Specialists in crime scene/trauma cleanup must properly dispose of any biohazard waste through a certified incineration company. The remaining debris is bagged in specially-marked packaging and handled by specialty companies that deal with and dispose of biohazard waste. This part of the service often represents a large portion of the total invoice.

When you choose SERVPRO®, you have the peace-of-mind knowing our technicians are well-trained, dedicated to handling your situation according to industry standards, and making it look "Like it never even happened" all while being available to you 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days-a-year!

You trust us with all of your fire, water, and mold jobs. Leave your trauma and crime scenes to our professionals as well, knowing the situation will be handled quickly and correctly. For more information, call SERVPRO® of Pike, Floyd, and Knott Counties at (606) 886-3826.

To bring in May in true SERVPRO fashion, SERVPRO® of Pike, Floyd, & Knott Counties were delighted to host a CE Class with three different courses. Our agents and adjusters came from many different areas to join in on the learning fun! The classes offered included: Ethics, Bio-hazards, and Mitigation Awareness. The Ethics course covered a variety of subtopics like honesty and reliability. The Bio-hazards class was enjoyed by all; this class went in-depth on the different situations one may encounter dealing with commercial or residential property. The class got to view pictures and slides with information on the different bio-hazards SERVPRO can clean. The Mitigation Awareness course covered all the ways in which Mitigation strives to always be the true hero of the day! And, how SERVPRO restores, not replaces, household items and furniture that suffer water damage. We look forward to more CE Classes in the future!

Marketing Reps April Goodin and Morgan Blount are pictured discussing restoration services at the SERVPRO booth at SAHMA's Kentucky Annual Conference.

This year SERVPRO® of Pike, Floyd, & Knott Counties had the pleasure of attending the Southeastern Affordable Housing Management Association (SAHMA) Kentucky Conference in Louisville, KY. The SAHMA organization is comprised of owners and managers of affordable, multifamily housing in the Southeast. With a mission to inform and educate, the conference attendees had the opportunity to discuss a variety of topics important to the housing industry.

At the vendor show our marketing team had the opportunity to speak with a few hundred Kentucky property managers about restoration services.  One of the key services discussed extensively was our biohazard cleanup.  SERVPRO® of Pike, Floyd, & Knott Counties covers a broad scope of biohazard cleanings including sewage backups, crime scene residues, suicide/death accidents, homicide cleanups, hoarding scenes, animal waste/remains, chemical spills, and meth lab cleanup.  While most of these can be unpleasant scenarios to deal with, we are here to make the cleanup easier and downtime less for our commercial and residential customers.
